A delicious and unique vinegar. I take our raw Welsh honey and ferment into mead; a lengthy process taking approximately 18 months. The resulting mead is then converted into vinegar with our special vinegar mother and allowed to mature further to achieve a rich, smooth and balanced flavour.
Honey vinegar is very versatile; it is great on salads, in dressings, marinades, chutneys and sauces. It is perfect where vinegar is called for in baking recipes.
Our honey vinegar can be taken as part of a tonic drink in a glass of hot water with a spoonful of honey and if you want to go the whole hog, add a few drops of propolis tincture. I take this first thing in the morning to cleanse my system and have found the basic tonic works as an appetite suppressant if I am trying to shed a few pounds. Drinking a small glass of the tonic drink will put me on for a couple of hours and take away hunger pangs.
Many people attest to the health giving properties of natural vinegars, including me, and undoubtedly they help to keep us healthy and support with weight loss. We really enjoy the deliciously smooth and mellow taste in a morning tonic or over crisp salad leaves for lunch.
